Because life’s too short to blend in. Don’t settle for average.
Because you’re only young once. You’re way more gorgeous than you know & have a fabulous body you’ll one day look back on and wish you had! Take advantage now and show off how fabulous you can be.
Because fashion is a method of self expression. What are you trying to say?

Because dressing up helps you weed out friends who don’t love you for you. If they have a problem with the way you dress, they’re not the kind of friends you want around.
Because cute clothes and accessories are a great conversation starter. Wear something fabulous and people will ask you where you got it.
Because parties aren’t the only time to celebrate.
Because that fabulous party dress in your closet cost too much to only be worn once. Remember cost per wear?

Because even if you live in an “unstylish” city & are scared to dress up, cities don’t become stylish without someone going first. I know it sounds cheesy, but be the change you want to see in the world. Everyone else can follow your fabulous lead.

Inspired by the recently reported kiwa hirsuta lobster, I designed a plush toy. Although she’s not anatomically correct in every detail (PDF), I think she is an identifiable member of this new species.
For anyone interested in sewing one of their own, I’ve developed a pattern with instructions and released it under a Creative Commons license. I don’t recommend this project for people averse to hand-sewing or turning things inside out—there’s plenty of both involved. But it’s all simple sewing and assembly if you understand the basics of seaming and stuffing.

So, I have this mild interest in performing, despite my major stage fright and several other factors that make taking off my clothes for fun and nonprofit not the best idea.
I’m in love with 1. This song (“TKO” by Le Tigre) and 2. Tiara’s fangirl-themed performance idea. I was thinking of drawing from my own past and the past I wish I had, when I turned from a reluctant teenybopper to a riot-grrl-wannabe, always on the outskirts but never thrashing in the pit. You know, tearing down the poster of JTT (which I may or may not have owned) and replacing it with Kathleen Hanna, stripping out of something pink and 90sish to a manbeater and booty shorts with an appropriate message, sharpie-ing my limbs up. Thoughts? Ideas? Am I completely out of my gourd?
